Bradley Smith Stuns the Field with Career-Best Front Row at One Raceway
The Victorian driver qualified alongside championship leader Damon Sterling in Round 2, shocking the established frontrunners and proving his pace was no fluke.

Nobody saw Bradley Smith coming. The Spectre Property-backed driver had been quietly building form through the early part of the 2025 season, but nothing had hinted at what he'd produce when the ADC arrived at One Raceway for Round 2.
Qualifying: Bradley Smith, front row. Alongside reigning champion Damon Sterling. Ahead of former champion Dean Crooke. Ahead of Round 1 winner Hayden Crossland. Ahead of Niko French.
"There was a surprise alongside him on the front row — Bradley Smith earned his career-best qualifying position," the official race report noted, understating the shock that rippled through the paddock.
Race 1 didn't go to plan — an unfortunate spin on lap three sent Smith to eighteenth — but that single qualifying lap had already told everyone something important about where his development was heading. By Race 2 he was back near the front, and by the finale he had scored his first top-three finish and the race's fastest lap.
"It proved qualifying was no fluke," the AASA report stated matter-of-factly.
Smith's emergence at One Raceway was one of the stories of the 2025 season. It typifies what the ADC does best: the spec car formula means talent can rise to the surface regardless of budget, and weekend after weekend, drivers who seem to come from nowhere turn out to have been preparing carefully all along. Bradley Smith was one of them.
