Sterling Dominant at One Raceway: Four Wins from Four Starts, Title in Sight
Damon Sterling put in one of the performances of his championship career at One Raceway, sweeping all four races to build a commanding points lead.

When Damon Sterling sets his sights on something, he tends to get it. His performance at One Raceway in Round 2 of the 2025 ADC was as comprehensive as anything seen in the series' short AASA-era history: four starts, four wins, pole position by over half a second, and a points gap that was starting to look decisive.
"All weekend in the Australian Drivers' Championship, reigning champion Damon Sterling was the man to beat," the official AASA report noted. "He went on to take all four race wins and took pole position by over half a second."
Race 1 was the most straightforward. Sterling led from the front, managed the gap, and won comfortably. Race 2 was more dramatic — Crooke and French engaged in a duel for second while Sterling built his margin. When French collected a backmarker in the middle of the race, the safety car scrambled the field, but Sterling absorbed the restart and held on to win.
The final race was perhaps the most impressive. Having already won three times, Sterling could have managed the result. Instead, he pushed again — another win, another fastest lap, another demonstration of why he's been so difficult to beat.
Rival Hayden Crossland's race weekend was plagued by a broken driveshaft retirement in Race 3, handing him nothing from a round where he'd shown genuine pace. Bradley Smith, by contrast, scored his first podium and fastest lap — the kind of result that signals a competitor who is finding their feet.
The championship was Sterling's to lose. Whether he could close it out before the season was done remained to be seen — but at One Raceway, he looked unbeatable.
